INTRODUCTION
GENERAL INFORMATION
Section I.
1-1. SCOPE. This technical manual provides organizational, direct, and general
s u p p o r t maintenance information for the Receiver Set R-2197/MLQ-34 (shown in
figure 1-1), referred to herein as the Receiver Set. A functional description of
the Receiver Set and its circuit card assemblies is provided. Referenced publi-
c a t i o n s a r e l i s t e d i n A p p e n d i x A .  A p p e n d i x B contains the Maintenance Allocation
C h a r t (MAC).  T h e Repair Parts and Special Tools (RPSTL) is provided in Appendix
C. Appendix D is a list of expendable supplies and materials. Non-standard terms
and abbreviations are defined in the Glossary.  An Index is provided. Operating
i n s t r u c t i o n s for the Receiver Set are provided in TM 32-5865-060-10, Counter-
m e a s u r e s Set, Special Purpose AN/MLQ-34 (System Operator's Manual).
1-2. MAINTENANCE FORMS AND RECORDS. Department of the Army forms and procedures
u s e d for equipment maintenance will be those prescribed in TM 38-750, the Army
Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
1-3. DESTRUCTION OF ARMY MATERIEL TO PREVENT ENEMY USE.  P r o c e d u r e s f o r d e s t r o y -
ing Army materiel are described in TM 750-244-2, Procedures for Destruction of
