SERVICE UPON RECEIPT AND INSTALLATION
Section I.
SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIAL
Unpacking.
When packed for shipment, the receiver control is wrapped with
plastic and placed in a cardboard container. Fiberboard blocking
material is provided to minimize shock during transport. The pro-
cedure for unpacking the unit is obvious upon inspection.
Checking Unpacked Equipment.

a. Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. If
the equipment has been damaged, report the damage on DD Form 6 (Report
of Packaging and Handling Deficiencies) as prescribed in AR 700-58.
b. Check the equipment against the component listing on the pack-
ing slip to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies
in accordance with paragraph 1-3. The equipment should be placed in
service even if a minor assembly or part that does not. affect proper
functioning is missing.

The receiver control is a self-contained unit and is fully equipped
for rack-mounting, shelf-mounting, or bench-top installation. If
slide-mounting is required, perform the procedures in paragraph 2-5.
