(8) Press PRESET/RESET
switch to RESET.
(9) Set ROM POWER switch to on (switch lights).
(10 ) Press RUN/HALT toggle switch to RUN.
(11 ) Set ROM POWER switch to off.
This completes the ROM CCA
verification procedure.
NOTE
Address bit 0 low causes verify mode to recycle;
high causes test to end upon completion.
f. ROM CCA Erase Procedure. A ROM CCA must be erased before it
can be programmed with new information. To erase a ROM CCA, proceed
as follows:
Clean lenses on all 1702E PROM microcircuits, using isopro-

pyl alcohol and a clean, lint-free cloth.

Open PROM eraser door.
(3)
Place ROM CCA in PROM eraser.
(4)
Close PROM eraser door.
WARNING
The PROM eraser emits ultraviolet light rays. Be
careful not to expose the eyes or skin to the ultra-
violet rays; damage to vision or burns may occur.
Also, be sure to provide adequate ventilation. Short-
wave rays may generate considerable amounts of ozone,
which is potentially hazardous.
Apply power to PROM eraser for 20 l minutes.

Remove power from PROM eraser.
(7) Remove erased ROM CCA from PROM eraser.
